BioHive

A new partnership between The City of Frederick Department of Economic Development (DED), BioBuzz Workforce Foundation, Inc., and the Frederick County Chapter of BioBeers Meetup group will give Frederick bioscience companies access to additional collaboration opportunities and tools.

The partnership will highlight and connect Frederick and its bioscience companies through the BioHive, an online community for bioscience companies.

“Frederick bioscience companies can access the BioHive’s platform for online networking, collaboration, and information sharing. It will allow them to connect with all companies across Maryland that are already on the system,” said Richard Griffin, Director of Economic Development for The City of Frederick.

BioBuzz launched the BioHive portal to share industry information and foster collaboration in the region. Companies can use the platform to connect with partners, engage with the community, enhance their brand, and attract talent to their organization.

Frederick joins others across the state that are already supporting the platform, including MedImmune, Maryland Department of Commerce, TEDCO, and BioHealth Innovation.
