Volunteer Opportunities

The City of Frederick Communications Department is responsible for, but not limited to, recording of public meetings and hearings, in-house commercials, PSAs, event productions, field event coverage, and in-house AV work. An excellent way to keep active in the Audio Visual field, the Communications Department Volunteer Program offers career building opportunities while working in a professional video production facility alongside City staff.

  • Be over the age of 18 and have reliable transportation
  • Have good communication skills
  • Willing to learn and work as a team player
  • Able to multitask
  • Able to lift heavy objects
